Welcome to the Digital Educator Foundation Programme at Wetlands University College. This competency-based course is designed to equip you with the essential skills to excel as a digital educator using our integrated E-Learning Portal and WUC Smart School Management System.
Upon completion, you will be certified as a Level 1 e-Lecturer, e-Instructor, e-Tutor, and e-Facilitator, ready to deliver engaging and effective digital learning experiences.

Course Competencies

Role 1: The e-Lecturer (Content Architect)

Mastering content delivery and course management.

• C1.1: Navigate the E-Learning Portal dashboard and customize your profile.
• C1.2: Access and manage assigned courses in the E-Learning Portal.
• C1.3: Create and organize digital learning resources (files, pages, links).

Role 2: The e-Instructor (Assessment Specialist)

Designing and managing assessments and grades.

• C2.1: Create assignment submission points with deadlines in the E-Learning Portal.
• C2.2: Use the E-Learning Portal Gradebook to input marks and provide feedback.
• C2.3: Interpret student performance reports in the WUC Smart School Management System.

Role 3: The e-Tutor (Student Manager)

Managing student data and tracking progress.

• C3.1: Access class lists in the E-Learning Portal and student profiles in the Smart School System.
• C3.2: Record and manage digital attendance via the Smart School System.
• C3.3: Monitor student engagement using E-Learning Portal activity reports.

Role 4: The e-Facilitator (Communication Hub)

Fostering interaction and collaboration.

• C4.1: Use E-Learning Portal forums for announcements and discussions.
• C4.2: Communicate with students and groups via messaging tools.
• C4.3: Send academic notifications using the WUC Smart School System.
